Xiaomi Mi 5 Releases Fingerprint Sensor Ultrasonic


Fingerprint sensor will be increasingly supplied with the latest smartphones, not to mention brand-new phone Xiaomi. Rumors say Mi 5 will be pinned fingerprint sensor. However, the sensors used in the successor Mi 4 is different from the other.
China-based company will use ultrasonic fingerprint recognition technology made by Qualcomm. The technology is an innate feature of Snapdragon chip 820 with Mi 5.
Named the technology Qualcomm Snapdragon 3D Sense Fingerprint. Claimed to be better than the fingerprint technology that exist today. Fingerprint 3D technology is able to create a map with detailed fingerprints making it difficult for anyone to copy them to open the device. The result will increase the security of the device.
In addition, this technology does not require specific sensor or a special button in order to work. Material type of plastic, metal and even glass can be used. So the phone does not have to provide a special area for placing the fingerprint sensor. Vendors can put the sensors on the display or in the frame.
Fingerprint 3D presence in Mi 5 certainly add to the appeal of this Xiaomi phone. Previously rumored Mi 5 will carry 4GB RAM, 16 megapixel camera and Android 5.1.1.
