How to choose between the Canon 700D or Nikon D5300

Canon EOS 700D and Nikon D5300 is a digital SLR camera aimed at novice photographers. Nevertheless, there are features on both cameras are much the same with a more sophisticated camera / semi-pro, so it is good enough to be used in various scene conditions.

From the shape and size, at a second glance something like the camera. But when viewed more closely, overall more compact Nikon D5300 a few millimeters and about 100 grams lighter. The new lens Nikon 18-55mm VR II also shorter in the off condition. This can be achieved because the plastic material of the camera thinner.

In image quality, the D5300 has a higher potential to the maximum 24 Megapixel image resolution than the 700D has a 18 MP image resolution. Additionally D5300 does not have a low pass filter, so the images will look sharper and richer detail. But in order to optimize the 24 MP, certainly needs a better quality lens.

D5300 autofocus system comes from Nikon D7000 and D600, the 39 point autofocus system. Not the best the Nikon but quite qualified for the subject is moving or stationary. The AF system is better than Canon's 9 points system.

When you switch on the LCD screen (live view), on the contrary, the Canon 700D is superior because the touch screen allows us to touch the area you want to focus easily. Speed â€‹â€‹autofocus when live view is much better than the Nikon D5300.

Another advantage of the Canon 700D is a complete direct access keys, thereby reducing the need to go into the menu to change the settings.

On the other hand, the Nikon D5300 has a secret weapon that may be important to you is the Wi-Fi and GPS. Nikon D5300 already have both of these functions embedded in the camera so you can easily send photos to your phone, or use the phone as a remote.

Select the camera which depends on what is overlooked ?. In terms of image quality, the Nikon D5300 more sharp, but the Canon is superior in features video recording and touch-screen interface is there so much easier to operate as operate a mobile phone.

For a lens for beginners, usually the two cameras are already bundled with the 18-55mm lens, but if you want a better lens, I recommend VR 18-105mm lens Nikon or Canon 18-135mm. Another fairly good lens in addition to a Nikon 55-200mm VR telephoto lens, the Canon 55-250mm IS lens and 50mm f / 1.8 for portrait.
